1/3/17 @11:00pm.
As I've said before there will be several cold air intrusions but they will be followed by warm air overrunning it. This week will be very cold. Afterwards, temperatures will return to slightly warmer than normal by next week.
There maybe some very, very, light snow (1/4/17) Wednesday night into (1/5/17) Thursday but that's about it. Some people are referring to this as the "first accumulating snow" event; and yes that is true for 2017 but we are talking about 1-2 inches and maybe 3 inches in isolated spots at most. The rest of January looks to be slightly warmer than normal but hey, the models change all the time. You never know. Three days out is best you can expect.
